The 40-year-old stated that he only received a contract offer last week and sought clarity on how WWE arrived at the terms. His request for supporting data led to a tense standoff with the company.
Details Behind the Rescinded Contract Offer
Karrion Kross revealed that despite his contract ending, WWE did not present a new proposal until recently. Upon receiving the offer, he asked for metrics or analytics justifying the valuation to make an informed decision. WWE, however, refused to provide any such information and imposed a strict deadline.
“Truth of the matter is, I mean, you’ve already stated my contract was up last week. I never actually received a contract, like an offer, until last week.. I think it was Tuesday, off the top of my head. I got the offer. WWE gave him 24 hours to sign the contract or face withdrawal of the offer. Kross responded that signing without sufficient information was impossible, hoping the dialogue could continue. Unfortunately, WWE chose to revoke the offer instead.
“When I inquired about that, they were unwilling to provide that information and told me I had 24 hours to agree to the offer or they were rescinding it. So the next day we talk. I ask if they have the information. They don’t. I said I can’t make an informed decision without the information, and I’d like to keep the dialogue open. They rescinded the offer.
