Karrion Kross Reveals Shocking WWE Future Update: No Contract Yet, Book Tour Takes Priority

Published:

Karrion Kross, along with Scarlett Bordeaux, recently saw their WWE contracts expire earlier this week, prompting the veteran wrestler to discuss his future with the promotion. Speaking candidly on The Ariel Helwani Show, Kross clarified that he was not appearing as his wrestling persona but as himself while sharing insights about his situation. When asked whether he had signed a new agreement with WWE, Kross confirmed he had not and is currently focusing on a book tour that was planned before his contract expired, making his priority clear.

“No. That is accurate. I was planning on doing a book tour, and doing media, I’ve been doing a lot of media. ECW Publishing, the publisher of the book has been helping me with that. Being able to be on your platform, with all of the people you reach, like, there was no anticipation that this was going to happen on the way to do the book tour. So, this is just what is happening,” said Kross. —Karrion Kross, Wrestler

Kross last appeared in WWE action at SummerSlam 2025 and most recently wrestled against Sami Zayn at a premium live event (PLE) held in New Jersey earlier this month, suffering a defeat. These developments have left fans wondering about his next moves in professional wrestling, given the uncertain contract status.

Insights Into Kross’s Departure and Contract Negotiations

The former NXT Champion expressed his disappointment and frustration regarding his departure from WWE. In a recent YouTube video, Kross detailed his attempts to remain with the company, explaining that despite his clear interest in renegotiating his contract in January, discussions did not progress as he hoped. He emphasized his commitment to WWE and his confusion over the stalled negotiations, underscoring that his desire was to continue with the promotion rather than depart.

“August 10th, it’s up. That’s another situation where it’s like, on top of everything else that’s going on, that’s confusing and stressful because I expressed interest to renegotiate in early January with WWE. I think it’s crazy, it’s preposterous for anyone to think that I wouldn’t want to be here or go somewhere else. It’s nothing against anywhere else, but I’m fully committed. I’m here,” said Karrion Kross. —Karrion Kross, Wrestler

What Lies Ahead for Karrion Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux

As Karrion Kross navigates this transitional phase without an active contract, his focus remains on the promotional activities related to his new book, supported by ECW Publishing. The situation highlights a period of uncertainty for both Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux in terms of their WWE futures. Fans and industry watchers will be keen to observe whether WWE will renew their contracts or if the duo will explore opportunities beyond the company. The ongoing developments could have meaningful implications for their careers and the broader wrestling landscape.
