WWE Superstar Liv Morgan captured the spotlight in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, by winning the 2026 Royal Rumble, a major milestone for the Women’s Crown Jewel Champion. Despite her victory, Morgan unexpectedly overlooked a customary WWE tradition by not pointing to the WrestleMania 42 sign after her win, a widely recognized gesture signaling the next big event. She later explained that she was so immersed in the moment that the usual visual was forgotten.
In an interview with TMZ’s Inside The Ring, Morgan admitted she was completely absorbed in celebrating her achievement before the crowd.
“I really was conscious of like, these moments come and go, and you don’t know if you’ll get a moment like this again,”
she shared.
Although traditional visuals of Rumble winners pointing to the WrestleMania sign are a staple in WWE promotions, Morgan pointed to the sign awkwardly from the center of the ring rather than from the corner, deviating from the usual presentation.
“Yeah, I’m still super excited. I’m still super happy. You know, in the moment when I won, I really was conscious of like, these moments come and go, and you don’t know if you’ll get a moment like this again. So I really like savored it. I savored it so much that I forgot to point to the WrestleMania sign. I was so in the moment that I like forgot to point to the sign, and that’s like what you do when there’s a Rumble. You know you’re gonna have this amazing visual where you’re pointing to the WrestleMania sign. I completely forgot just because I was really like savoring it and in it. And so yeah, a couple days removed, I’m just as excited and just as happy.”
Details of Liv Morgan’s Royal Rumble Performance
Entering the 2026 Royal Rumble at number 14, Liv Morgan demonstrated endurance and skill by lasting 43 minutes and 50 seconds in the unpredictable contest. During the match, she eliminated three opponents including veteran wrestler Nattie, rising star Tiffany Stratton, and her close friend Raquel Rodriguez. Her ability to outlast numerous competitors confirmed her status as a leading contender in WWE’s women’s division.

Clarifying Relationship Dynamics with Dominik Mysterio
On the same edition of Inside The Ring, Morgan addressed questions about her real-life and on-screen relationship with Dominik Mysterio. She was surprised by the inquiry regarding her trust in Mysterio and emphatically expressed her unwavering confidence in him.
At 31 years old, Morgan commented that Dominik’s controversial actions were the result of others not accepting his authentic self, but she remains supportive and fully accepts who he is.
“What do you mean do I still trust Dominik? When did I not trust Dominik? Not with me. Not with me… No, I do know. I do know. See, what had happened was, is that all these people that Dominik turned on, they didn’t accept him for who he was at the end of the day. I accept Daddy Dom exactly. I like how he is, and so that’s why we don’t worry about those things.”
Future Prospects and Championship Ambitions
While Liv Morgan did not initially reveal her target opponent during her recent promo on WWE RAW, she later delivered a decisive Oblivion move to Stephanie Vaquer. She followed by holding the Women’s World Championship belt aloft, signaling her intention to challenge La Primera for the title once again. This sets the stage for a potential second reign as women’s world champion, making her pursuit of the championship a key storyline in upcoming WWE programming.
Liv Morgan’s Royal Rumble victory and her ongoing character development underscore her rising prominence within WWE’s competitive landscape. Her memorable win in Riyadh, even with the missed tradition, shows her focus on personal achievement amid the high-stakes atmosphere of professional wrestling.
