Logan Paul Private Jet Blackout Midflight Revealed Ahead of WWE SummerSlam Drama

Published:

Logan Paul encountered a technical problem with his private jet last Friday while traveling to Cleveland, his hometown, for WWE SmackDown. The incident occurred just before he teamed up with Drew McIntyre to face Randy Orton and Jelly Roll on the SummerSlam Night 1 card.

During Paul’s YouTube vlog documenting his SmackDown visit, he and his team celebrated a crew member’s birthday aboard the rented aircraft. Midway through the in-flight celebration, some electrical equipment began malfunctioning, eventually causing the cabin lights to go out completely.

The issue was promptly addressed when the crew discovered a faulty switch. They secured the switch with electrical tape, and the pilot offered insight into the cause of the problem.

“This G5 was $15,000 cheaper than every other airplane on the market,” the pilot said. [From 11:34 to 11:39]

Despite the interruption, Logan Paul safely landed and managed to upload his vlog in time for the final SmackDown before SummerSlam.

Returning to Cleveland for Crucial WWE Match

Paul’s appearance on the Friday night SmackDown episode took place in Cleveland, where he was joined by WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre. They confronted their upcoming opponents, Randy Orton and Jelly Roll, ahead of their tag team clash at SummerSlam.

The matchup is part of the celebrity tag team contest scheduled for the first night of WWE’s upcoming two-night SummerSlam event, set to take place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on August 2 and 3. This year marks the first time WWE will host a multi-night Premium Live Event outside of WrestleMania.

Logan Paul Assists Drew McIntyre with Passport Challenge

Earlier in the week, the tag team match was threatened when Drew McIntyre encountered passport difficulties that prevented him from returning to the United States. Logan Paul stepped in to help, leveraging his network to ensure McIntyre’s timely arrival.

McIntyre blamed Jelly Roll for causing the passport troubles and also criticized The Miz for attempting to persuade Paul to substitute for him in the match. Paul appeared in footage warning Orton and Jelly Roll ahead of the SummerSlam showdown.

Upcoming Implications for SummerSlam and WWE Fans

The resolution of the jet blackout and McIntyre’s travel issues means the high-profile tag team encounter should proceed as planned, adding to the excitement for fans attending SummerSlam. Logan Paul’s journey from a private jet mishap to the wrestling ring highlights the unpredictable nature of the event weekend.

This SummerSlam is poised to deliver significant moments, with celebrity participation enhancing the appeal of WWE’s two-night spectacle at MetLife Stadium. The smooth coordination behind the scenes, including overcoming travel obstacles, ensures fans can anticipate an engaging and well-executed show.
