Lola Vice Calls AAA Run a Career Game-Changer in Wrestling

WWE NXT Superstar Lola Vice recently shared insights into her time wrestling with AAA during an interview on Busted Open Radio, describing the stint as a pivotal moment in her career. She emphasized how this opportunity allowed her to grow as a performer and gain new perspectives beyond her usual WWE environment.

Lola Vice explained that her involvement began with Worlds Collide alongside Stephanie Vaquer, which opened the door to AAA. She arrived in Mexico before WWE had fully taken over the promotion’s production, giving her an early look at AAA’s unique wrestling style and facilities. This contrast helped her appreciate WWE’s setup more deeply and enabled her to bring fresh ideas into AAA. She said,

“It first started with the opportunity of doing Worlds Collide with Stephanie (Vaquer). I think that was my first AAA opportunity, and then when I got the call, like, ‘Hey, we’re doing something in Mexico. We want you to come over here –I actually went over there like two, three shows before WWE had completely taken over. So I got to see AAA before we got the WWE being there and the production and the cameras, and actually, that helps me even more now because number one, I had never wrestled outside of NXT. So I got to appreciate even more the facility that we have and the way we do things in the WWE, and bring it into AAA, but AAA has been, I think, a game-changer for my career. It’s been the best thing to happen to me, and I remember getting this opportunity and being like, ‘You know what? I’m gonna run with this. This is something that WWE’s investing a lot into, and they’re trusting me as a talent to go over there and represent the company, and I’m gonna give it my all, I’m gonna give it my best,’ and it’s been the best thing to happen to my career.”

The Impact of Working Alongside The Undertaker

Lola Vice also discussed how working with The Undertaker, a creative force behind AAA, greatly influenced her development. Initially shy, she quickly built a strong connection with him. She described his dedication in rehearsals and his openness to her ideas, highlighting the mentorship she received. She remarked,

“At first, I was a little shy around him. But I’ve grown to love him so much and Undertaker has stood in the ring with me in rehearsals for five hours and he’s listened to my crazy ideas and he’s guided me so well but, I feel like Undertaker has really believed in me, and it just means so much to me because he’s such an inspiration to me and just having him there… sometimes I can’t even believe that’s my boss in AAA. It’s The Undertaker, and I’m just so grateful for these opportunities he’s given me and winning the tag titles, it just makes me so happy the way that AAA has developed and having Undertaker there, I’m just so grateful, and he’s such an amazing inspiration and role model.”

Lola Vice’s Current Standing and Recent Matches

Presently, Lola Vice holds the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championships alongside her partner Mr. Iguana. Her time in AAA has not only enhanced her skills but also elevated her prominence in the wrestling scene. Most recently on NXT TV, she faced a singles match against Kelani Jordan, where she was defeated, but the ongoing experience continues to solidify her reputation as a determined competitor with significant growth potential.
