Monaco Yacht Show 2023: Soon, top luxury yachting professionals will witness the world’s largest and most luxurious superyachts gathering in one port. It’ll be a sight to see. From September 27 to 30, around 30,000 people will visit Monaco for the prestigious Monaco Yacht Show, the year’s most glamorous sailing event. In its 32nd year, this superyacht attracts people worldwide, including buyers, designers, builders, suppliers, agents, and fans.
Superyacht expert Marcela Royer notes the presence of large yachts over 50 meters in the port. This top-rated four-day show happens at Port Hercule in Monaco. One highlight is that 45 ships are making their debut. This highlights the show’s significance in the superyacht industry. Some boats are less than two years old, showing the industry’s anticipation for this event.
The 43-meter power catamaran “This Is It” by Tecnomar and the world’s most giant sailing catamaran, “Art Explorer,” are among the special offers. These styles show how yachts have changed over time. This change can be traced back to younger superyacht owners pushing design limits.
This year, the event focuses on sustainability with talks on the topic. Sustainability is now a crucial part of building superyachts.
Despite record-breaking superyacht sales in 2021, the market has slowed. In early September, new boat sales were down 34% and used yacht sales were down around 25% compared to last year. In 2022, superyacht sales decreased by 20% in value. Experts are cautiously optimistic due to the current situation and high demand.
