Randy Orton Opens Up: Thrilled to Be a WWE Mentor Now

Randy Orton, a seasoned WWE star, expressed deep gratitude for his career’s current stage during the post-show of WWE’s Elimination Chamber event. At 45 years old, Orton revealed he never expected to find fulfillment in mentoring younger wrestlers, yet he now takes pride in guiding emerging talent.

Finding Fulfillment in Guiding New WWE Talent

Orton spoke enthusiastically about the young performers he has worked with recently, mentioning Je’Von Evans, Trick, and Myles Bourne among those he advises. He noted how these wrestlers show eagerness to learn, and how rewarding it is to see their eyes light up when they realize the value of his experience.

“I’ll be honest, it’s quite fulfilling. Like Je’Von Evans, bless his heart, he looked great out there tonight. He ended up getting eliminated of course but seeing him, seeing Trick, seeing the other young guys, a few guys down in NXT, Myles Bourne’s one of them, there’s a lot of guys that I’m excited to talk to and I can tell they’re excited to listen,”

Orton said.

“I feel like there’s a certain lane that I stayed in where I make little things mean something and just last night I was able to talk with a couple of young guys and I could tell that they were really excited to hear what I had to say and their eyes got kind wide open and were like ‘Oh wow, this Randy knows his s***.’”

Randy Orton’s Passion for Wrestling Remains Strong

Orton emphasized his commitment to passing on knowledge, describing the mentoring experience as revitalizing and energizing. His love for the wrestling business drives him to continue contributing as long as possible.

“And I do! I have a lot to give back,”

he added.

“And like I said, it’s fulfilling to me and it fills my lungs up with fresh air man, it makes my heart beat faster. I love this business and if I can do it ten more years, I will, God willing.”

Recent WWE Action and Future Championship Prospects

At the Elimination Chamber event, Orton secured victory by last eliminating Cody Rhodes, aided by a distraction from Drew McIntyre. This win positions Orton to challenge for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. However, the titleholder for that match remains unsettled, as Nick Aldis revealed McIntyre is scheduled to defend the championship against Rhodes on the upcoming episode of SmackDown.
