WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio revealed that his daughter, Aalyah, recently entered the wrestling ring for the first time, marking the start of her training to become a professional wrestler. This significant moment took place last week, as Aalyah expressed curiosity about experiencing the ring firsthand.
A Patient Journey Before Her Debut
Mysterio explained that Aalyah, now 24 years old, had been asking to step inside the ring for about a year and a half. He delayed her entry until she graduated in June, after which she persistently persuaded him.
“She’s 24 years old, ‘Dad when are you taking me to the ring just to play around and get in there,’ for a year and a half. I said, ‘When you graduate.’ She graduated in June and has been bugging me. I said, ‘Okay, let’s go.’ Took her to the ring, she jumped in there,”
he said.
Early Impressions of Aalyah’s Natural Ability
After witnessing her first time in the ring, Rey Mysterio expressed surprise and pride in her raw talent. He believes her performance was a reflection of her inherited skill, not something learned quickly.
“She impressed me for a first-timer. For a person who has never been in the ring before, to do the things she did, it’s gotta come from the genes. You don’t learn that overnight,”
Mysterio stated.
Looking Ahead to Aalyah’s Wrestling Future
Aalyah’s initial introduction to the ring marks an important step in her journey toward a wrestling career, as she builds on her natural talent under the guidance of her father. Fans and observers will be interested to see how her training progresses and whether she will follow in Rey Mysterio’s footsteps in the professional wrestling world.
