Rhea Ripley, known for her fierce presence in WWE, recently revealed an unusual encounter beyond the wrestling ring at a live concert event. On September 13, at the DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts, during the Silver Scream Con, Ripley took part in a staged interaction involving Art the Clown, the villain from the Terrifier horror film series, alongside the heavy metal band Ice Nine Kills.
The meeting began with a friendly tone but escalated when Art the Clown grabbed a Labubu figure from Ripley, sparking a scuffle that ended with her character being overpowered and “killed” on stage. Ripley was then carried off, concluding the dramatic sequence during the show.
Context Behind Rhea Ripley’s Involvement with the Terrifier Franchise
Outside of wrestling, Ripley holds a strong appreciation for the Terrifier series and its terrifying antagonist. Her enthusiasm was evident earlier this year when she tattooed an image of her dog dressed as Art the Clown. Additionally, she collaborated on merchandise connected to the horror franchise just weeks before the concert event.
During a June interview with Chris Van Vliet, Ripley expressed a wish to meet David Howard Thornton, the actor portraying Art the Clown, and mentioned inviting him to a WWE event, although thus far their schedules have not aligned. She also revealed an interest in participating in Terrifier 4, the planned final chapter of the series.
Following Ripley’s public interest, Damien Leone, the creator of the Terrifier movies, hinted on social media that plans could be in motion to incorporate Ripley’s persona within the franchise.
Rhea Ripley Reflects on the Experience and Its Impact
Despite portraying a victim in the staged attack, Ripley expressed gratitude for the opportunity, calling the event a dream come true. She took to X (formerly Twitter) to thank everyone involved in creating the memorable experience, highlighting how meaningful this moment was for her personally.
