Rhea Ripley’s Terrifier Merch Collab Sells Out Fast at Hot Topic

Published:

WWE Superstar Rhea Ripley has launched a new collaboration featuring merchandise from the wildly popular horror series Terrifier. Announced on Friday, the partnership includes two shirt designs available exclusively at Hot Topic, combining Ripley’s wrestling persona with the franchise’s chilling characters. Fans eager to get their hands on the limited-edition items are urged to act quickly, as sales are moving rapidly.

Ripley showcased the merch on X, highlighting one shirt that features her alongside the sinister villain Art the Clown, while the other shirt also includes Terrifier’s eerie companion, the Little Pale Girl. She enthusiastically alerted fans about the fast-selling products:

“GUYS!!! I have my own merch collab with Terrifier. Selling fast so make sure you grab one before they are gone.” —Rhea Ripley, WWE Superstar

The Rise of the Terrifier Franchise and Ripley’s Ambitions

Created by director Damien Leone, the Terrifier series introduced audiences to Art the Clown in the 2013 horror anthology film All Hallows’ Eve, before Art starred in his debut feature film in 2016. Although the first movie received mixed reviews, the franchise gained momentum with Terrifier 2 released in 2022. This installment, focusing on a teenage girl named Sienna who battles Art, earned widespread acclaim and significantly boosted the series‘ fanbase.

Terrifier 3 followed in 2024, going on to break records as the highest-grossing unrated film ever made. With a fourth movie already planned, Ripley has openly expressed her strong desire to join the cast. During a recent meet and greet, she conveyed her enthusiasm and admiration for the series:

“I would love that. I really liked Terrifier 3. I think that’s my favorite one out of all of them. Seeing Art dressed as Santa Claus is terrifying and amazing at the same time. But I want to be part of it. Kill me, please.” —Rhea Ripley, WWE Superstar

The Strong Connection Between Wrestling and Horror

Wrestling and horror genres have a longstanding relationship, with many wrestlers crossing over into scary film and TV roles. AEW star and former WWE World Champion Chris Jericho appears in both the second and third Terrifier films, exemplifying the appeal this genre holds for wrestlers. Around the same time, WWE performer Liv Morgan guest-starred on the horror series Chucky’s second season.

Several other notable wrestlers have made their mark in horror entertainment. Kane, also known as a WWE wrestler and former mayor, portrayed the villain Jacob Goodnight in the 2006 film See No Evil and its 2014 sequel. WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H took on a supernatural role as vampire henchman Jarko Grimwood in Marvel’s 2004 movie Blade Trinity, the third installment in the Blade franchise.

Wrestling legends Roddy Piper and Diamond Dallas Page also embraced horror roles; Piper starred in the cult classic sci-fi horror They Live, directed by John Carpenter—who is famed for creating the Halloween franchise—while DDP played a bounty hunter in Rob Zombie’s The Devil’s Rejects. These instances highlight how the macabre world of horror complements the larger-than-life personas found in wrestling.

Given her intense presence and passion, Ripley is seen as a strong fit for horror projects, and fans are hopeful she will soon secure a role in Terrifier 4 or other related films, continuing the tradition of wrestlers flourishing within the horror genre.
