Ricochet Admits Brock Lesnar Is a Much Bigger Draw

Published:

AEW competitor Ricochet recently acknowledged the significant box office appeal of WWE star Brock Lesnar. Lesnar, known as The Beast Incarnate, made his return to WWE at SummerSlam and quickly set up a high-profile match against John Cena at WrestlePalooza, where he emerged victorious. While WWE’s broadcast partner ESPN gave the event a lukewarm grade of C, Ricochet defended AEW’s All Out pay-per-view, insisting it was a strong success. Despite their limited ring history, Ricochet clearly respects Lesnar, conceding in a Twitter exchange that Lesnar is “100% a much bigger draw” than himself.

These remarks come amidst ongoing comparisons between the two performers and highlight Lesnar’s unmatched ability to captivate audiences worldwide, reinforcing his status as one of wrestling’s top attractions.

Ricochet Reflects on Facing Lesnar in the Ring

Brock Lesnar’s dominance was starkly evident in their only singles meeting back in 2020 at WWE’s Super ShowDown, where Lesnar defeated Ricochet in less than a minute. Lesnar continues to be portrayed as a nearly unstoppable force within WWE, consistently depicted as a Goliath-sized presence against his opponents. During a recent discussion on Chris Van Vliet’s Insight podcast, Ricochet described the lack of creative control he experienced during their encounter, emphasizing how overwhelming Lesnar’s power felt up close.

“That’s exactly how that works. He throws you, and then you go flying. That’s A and B of it. That’s kind of all there is. You have no control; I mean, he’s in there throwing Braun [Strowman]. He’s in there throwing Bobby [Lashley] and Drew [McIntyre]. So, once he gets me like, you always wanna make stuff look good, but that’s another one where I just had no control over how it’d look because he’s just tossing you. Literally, you feel helpless!” Ricochet said.

Ricochet’s remarks highlight the physical challenge of competing with Lesnar, who has similarly overpowered other top stars like Braun Strowman, Bobby Lashley, and Drew McIntyre.

Lesnar’s Continued Dominance and What Lies Ahead

Lesnar’s recent dismantling of John Cena at WrestlePalooza only serves to underline his ongoing relevance and drawing power in the world of sports entertainment. As WWE consistently positions Lesnar as a central figure, anticipation grows regarding his future matchups and storylines. Ricochet’s candid admission of Lesnar’s superior appeal further cements the latter’s status within WWE and professional wrestling at large.

Looking forward, fans and analysts alike remain curious about Lesnar’s next steps following his decisive victory over Cena, and how his presence will continue to influence the broader wrestling landscape. Meanwhile, Ricochet’s recognition of Lesnar’s commercial and in-ring prestige shows respect across competing wrestling promotions, underscoring the lasting impact Lesnar has had on the industry.
