Roman Reigns Faces Shocking Power Struggle With The Usos

Published:

Roman Reigns finds himself in a tense and complex Roman Reigns power struggle with his cousins, The Usos, as alliances tested recently signal shifting power dynamics within WWE. The unfolding conflict began in the aftermath of several key matches between The Usos, Reigns, and opponents including Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker, raising questions about who will ultimately dominate this faction.

How Recent Matches Sparked Tensions Among The Family

The current rivalry gained momentum when Jey Uso and The OC teamed up at SummerSlam 2025 to defeat Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker. Soon after, Roman Reigns secured a victory over Reed at Clash in Paris, only to be saved from a post-match attack by Jey Uso against Breakker and Reed. Despite this apparent unity, tensions surfaced publicly during the latest WWE RAW episode. Reigns told Jey Uso that this moment was “Uso’s time” and that the spotlight should be on him. However, Jimmy Uso’s reaction suggested he was not on board with this new hierarchy, signaling a potential internal clash.

Discussions Around Jimmy Uso’s Rising Ambitions

During a recent segment on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray and Dave LaGreca offered insights into the possible directions the power struggle might take. They emphasized how crucial it would be for Jimmy Uso to rise to the same level as Jey Uso and Roman Reigns for the storyline to deepen.

If we can get Jimmy near Jey’s level, wow, that is going to be significant in the storytelling down the road between the three of them. All I could see, the three of them all grasping for power. Roman in Jey’s ear. Roman realizes that he’s put too much in Jey’s ear, and Jimmy saying, “No, I’m becoming more powerful than the both of you”, said Bully Ray.

The possibilities for Jimmy’s character trajectory are wide-ranging, as LaGreca outlined three main paths: continuing on a “nice guy” path that challenges the approaches of Jey and Roman, remaining simply a loyal family member, or opposing both Jey and Roman, demanding recognition and power equal to theirs.

There’s three ways that this could go. It could go where Jimmy’s going to continue on the path that he’s going, trying to be the nice guy, trying to build bridges with everybody, and kind of going against what Jey and Roman are doing right now. Or it could be that he continues to just be a part of his family, which we’ve seen in the past. Or he completely goes against Jey and Roman. Or maybe he’s tries to fight to get to where Jey is right now so that he gets acknowledged by Roman, added Dave LaGreca.

Ongoing Storylines and Upcoming High-Stakes Events

Roman Reigns, Jey, and Jimmy Uso’s complex dynamics are expected to play significant roles in upcoming events like Crown Jewel and Survivor Series, where The OC and The Usos are slated to appear. These storylines are likely to intensify as they unfold in front of a global audience, with the power struggle defining future alliances and rivalries within WWE.

The tensions within this group underscore the broader theme of ambition clashing with loyalty. Roman Reigns’ influence on Jey Uso, combined with Jimmy’s ambitions, is paving the way for one of the most compelling internal conflicts WWE has seen in recent years. Fans can anticipate fierce competition as each member seeks to assert dominance in the faction and the WWE landscape at large.
