Roman Reigns Returns to RAW, Asserts Why He’s Still Tribal Chief

Published:

Roman Reigns made a strong return to WWE‘s RAW after a month away, launching an assault on Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed during Monday’s episode. Following this, he explained on social media why he remains the undisputed Roman Reigns Tribal Chief, reaffirming his dominance in the WWE landscape.

Reigns had been absent since The Brons—Breakker and Reed—defeated him at Clash in Paris, where he lost to Bronson Reed in a singles match. His hiatus was to film his role as Akuma in the upcoming Street Fighter movie alongside Cody Rhodes. His comeback was marked by a decisive revenge attack, firmly reestablishing his presence.

After his confrontation with Breakker and Reed, Reigns acknowledged Jey Uso, who appears to be stepping into the role The Tribal Chief originally envisioned for him as The Right Hand Man. Jimmy Uso was seen showing concern in the background, adding tension to the dynamics within The Bloodline.

On multiple social media platforms, Roman Reigns posted a video from the day of his return, showing his arrival at the Gorilla position and his exit backstage after the show. He spoke with conviction, underscoring that he remains the sole leader aware of what it takes to stay at the top.

“Like I said, some things change but not me. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. I’m tired of everybody thinking they understand the landscape. I’m tired of everybody thinking they understand the top of the mountain. Only one man understands this altitude, The Tribal Chief. The Greatest of All Time. They only want what they don’t have. Touch anything and turn into gold. You understand that? That’s what makes me so damn good,” Roman Reigns said.

Roman Reigns’ story is far from over, as he still has unresolved issues with The Vision, which includes Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman. While Rollins is preoccupied with a rivalry against Cody Rhodes ahead of their Crown Jewel match in Perth, Reigns’ focus remains firm on solidifying his dominance.

Changing Perspectives on a Dream Match: Roman Reigns vs. The Rock

One of WWE’s most anticipated dream matches remains Roman Reigns facing The Rock, a bout that was planned for WrestleMania but postponed due to The Rock’s busy schedule. WrestleMania 43, scheduled for Saudi Arabia, revived hope for this event, but not everyone is eager to see it come to life.

WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry has expressed that his interest in the Roman Reigns Tribal Chief facing The Rock has dimmed. Initially supportive of the potential match two years ago, Henry now sees less value in it.

“I did when it was before WrestleMania two years ago, but not now,” Mark Henry said on TMZ’s Inside the Ring podcast.

The Rock, in addition to his WWE commitments, is currently focusing on his film career. He has lost weight for a role portraying a 70-year-old gangster in a Martin Scorsese film featuring Leonardo DiCaprio and Emily Blunt, which further complicates any scheduling for a wrestling match.

Building Momentum and Future Storylines in WWE

Roman Reigns’ return signals a renewed chapter for the Tribal Chief within WWE, emphasizing his enduring authority and dominance despite recent setbacks. His actions against The Brons and his strategic interactions with Jey and Jimmy Uso deepen existing tensions and hint at upcoming power struggles within The Bloodline faction.

With ongoing storylines involving Seth Rollins, Paul Heyman, and contenders like Cody Rhodes, the WWE landscape remains tense and uncertain. The resolution of these rivalries and Reigns’ quest to maintain his top position will be key elements shaping WWE programming in the coming months.

Roman Reigns’ status as The Tribal Chief continues to be a central theme, highlighting his unique ability to maintain control at the highest level of professional wrestling, even under pressure from challengers both inside and outside the ring.
