At WWE WrestleMania 42, Seth Rollins, the reigning World Heavyweight Champion on WWE RAW, faces a surprising challenge from popular music star Post Malone. This announcement came shortly after Rollins successfully defended his title at the Clash in Paris event.
In a recent GQ interview, Post Malone openly declared his interest in facing Rollins in the ring at WrestleMania 2026, signaling an unexpected crossover between entertainment and wrestling.
“I think me and Seth Rollins got beef—you can put that on paper, too. You, me, Seth Rollins. WrestleMania 2026. Come on, baby,” he said.
Malone also revealed that professional wrestling has long been an ambition of his, had his career and physique taken a different direction.
“I’ve always wanted to do that. I figured if I had a different musculature and different career path, I would love to have been a WWE wrestler,” he added.
Following Rollins’ title retention at Clash in Paris, Becky Lynch controversially struck CM Punk with a low blow, enabling Rollins to hold on to the championship in a Fatal 4-Way match. Rollins and Lynch exchanged words with Post Malone and Jelly Roll, who were present in the crowd for the Professional Wrestling Event (PLE) in France that evening.
Criticism Emerges Over Seth Rollins’ Faction, The Vision
Wrestling veteran Vince Russo voiced strong criticism of Seth Rollins‘ faction, The Vision, during a recent discussion on the Sportskeeda Wrestling podcast, Legion of RAW. Russo expressed confusion and skepticism about the faction’s purpose and their chosen name.
“With all due respect, what is The Vision? Can somebody explain that? We’re going to win all the titles, and then what? A vision is a vision. Martin Luther King gave a vision. That was Martin Luther King’s vision. What is the vision here? What a horrible name, bro. Like, absolutely. We’re going to win the titles; we’re going to take over professional wrestling, and do what?” Russo said.
His comments raise questions about the faction’s direction and narrative role within WWE programming.
Ongoing Rivalry Between Rollins and CM Punk Intensifies
The highly personal feud between Seth Rollins, known as The Architect, and CM Punk continues to captivate WWE audiences. Rollins became World Heavyweight Champion by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract on Punk during SummerSlam 2025.
This storyline remains a major focus for WWE, with the buildup suggesting further dramatic developments in the coming weeks. How Post Malone’s challenge will affect this ongoing rivalry remains to be seen, adding an additional layer of intrigue ahead of WrestleMania.
