Solo Sikoa Hints WWE MFT’s Missing Piece Could Shock Fans

Published:

Solo Sikoa may soon alter the course of WWE SmackDown as he cryptically hints at a missing component in his faction, the MFT. Following his loss of the United States Championship to Sami Zayn on the August 29 episode of SmackDown, Sikoa has been regrouping with his team, suggesting that once the absent member appears, the entire WWE roster will face a new challenge.

Solo Sikoa Signals a Crucial Addition to the MFT

In recent weeks, Solo Sikoa has spotlighted the members of his faction by reintroducing Tonga Loa, JC Mateo, and Talla Tonga through brief, mysterious video segments. The 32-year-old acknowledged their loyalty and contributions to the group but emphasized that the MFT remains incomplete. Last week, he stated that the missing part would soon arrive, which would compel all competitors to take notice.

Speculation about this “missing piece” points toward an unexpected figure: The Rock. The megastar made a surprise WWE return on October 5 of last year, coinciding with the conclusion of the Bad Blood 2024 event, where Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns triumphed over Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in a tag team encounter.

At the time, The Rock emerged from the stage to confront everyone in the ring, lingering without any immediate follow-up, which drew criticism from fans. However, this moment might now have a future payoff. During The Rock’s return, Solo Sikoa was seen among the crowd, suggesting this was all part of a long-term strategy.

The Rock Possibly Leading the MFT as the Mastermind

More than a year later, Solo Sikoa’s faction, which has struggled to meet expectations, may receive a major boost if The Rock is revealed as the group’s leader. Such an introduction could reinvigorate the MFT and make good on Sikoa’s promise that everyone will soon be put on notice.

While many expect Tama Tonga to be the missing link in the MFT, WWE’s creative direction could surprise fans by positioning The Great One as the mastermind behind the faction’s next chapter. Nevertheless, this remains speculative as no official confirmation has been made.

Criticism Emerges Over Solo Sikoa’s Video Segments on SmackDown

Although Solo Sikoa has used video packages on SmackDown to hype his group, not everyone is pleased with this approach. Last week, he urged Talla Tonga to unleash his full potential and dominate their challengers within the faction. Yet former WWE writer Vince Russo expressed frustration with how these vignettes were timed and presented.

During an appearance on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge’s BroDown with host Mac Davis, Russo criticized the creative booking, arguing that the introduction of the faction via these videos was poorly executed. He suggested that the segments would have made more sense if aired before the faction’s initial television appearances.

“It’s comical to me that now we’re doing Solo Sikoa and his whole group, now we’re doing vignettes on these guys, and now, we’re introducing these guys. How many months after the fact? Isn’t that the first thing you’re supposed to do? Shouldn’t we have had Solo introduce these guys one by one before we saw them as a group? That right there just tells you they have no clue what they’re doing. You don’t give these guys introductions after you’ve seen them on television for six months. That doesn’t make any sense.”

What Lies Ahead for the MFT in WWE?

The uncertainty surrounding the MFT’s missing member adds tension to the group’s storyline and has sparked considerable debate among WWE fans. If The Rock indeed joins as the faction’s leader, it could dramatically alter WWE SmackDown‘s landscape, elevating the faction’s status and forcing rival wrestlers to reassess their strategies.

With Solo Sikoa already back in action after his recent title loss, and factions like MFT under new scrutiny, WWE’s creative directions in the coming weeks will be crucial to determining whether this storyline delivers the impact fans are anticipating. The potential unveiling of a legendary star could mark a turning point for the faction and WWE programming as a whole.
