At WWE’s recent Premium Live Event, Clash in Paris, a highly anticipated Women’s World Title match was scheduled between Naomi and Stephanie Vaquer, known as the Dark Angel. However, the match was canceled after Naomi had to relinquish her title due to her pregnancy, disrupting plans for the evening’s roster.
Vaquer Reflects on the Canceled Title Opportunity
Stephanie Vaquer appeared as a guest on Chris Van Vliet’s Insight podcast, where she expressed mixed emotions about the canceled match. While she was disappointed that the chance to compete for the title against Naomi did not happen, she also conveyed happiness for Naomi’s personal news. Vaquer highlighted that the delay gave her extra time to focus on training for her upcoming title challenge.
“Yeah, everything changed about that. So I’m sad for the match, I’m so happy for Naomi. But everything I think is better because I have more time for training, focused on the next match with IYO. Amazing. She’s amazing. So versus IYO and ESPN, big show with WWE Wrestlepalooza. So it’s like, amazing. It’s really, really amazing. Sometimes everything changes for one reason as my birthday, my dad’s birthday, and he come for first time, watch my match live. So everything is perfect,”
Stephanie Vaquer said.
Upcoming Title Showdown at Wrestlepalooza
Stephanie Vaquer will face former WWE Women’s World Champion IYO SKY in a match for the now-vacant Women’s World Title. This bout is set to take place at the major WWE event Wrestlepalooza, promising an intense competition for the championship. Both wrestlers bring strong track records, and Vaquer aims to capitalize on her opportunity to secure her first major title win.
Looking Ahead to Vaquer’s Championship Pursuit
With Naomi stepping away from the title scene, Stephanie Vaquer’s preparation and determination position her as a leading contender for the Women’s World Title. Her upcoming match against IYO SKY will be a pivotal moment for her career and for WWE’s women’s division. Fans and analysts alike are eager to see if Vaquer can claim the championship at Wrestlepalooza and further establish herself among the sport’s top competitors.
