He’s a fantastic wrestler. And to have somebody of his quality come in, instantly he’s additive in AEW. We’ve got somebody that’s joined us that can have fantastic matches whether it’s people he’s lined up against in past wrestling matches, whether it’s a old rival or somebody fresh and new that he’s never matched up against, there’s so many exciting possibilities for Tommaso Ciampa in AEW… There’s a lot of people he’s got existing fired up rivalries against, but then also there’s brand new rivalries and possibilities with so many fantastic young wrestlers because AEW is where the best wrestle.

I’ve always said Andrade has a home here. And when he left years ago, I had went on the record and made it really clear, ‘Andrade El Idolo is leaving on fantastic terms.’ He did a great job. He ended up in the Continental Classic with a great showing in the original Continental Classic, and then left right after that. And I have always said to anybody who asks, ‘He’s always got a home in AEW. I think Andrade El Idolo is incredible, but I also really believe that Andrade El Idolo right now in 2026 is the very best he’s ever been in AEW or anywhere.
