WWE Urged to Give Jimmy Uso a Jey Uso-Like Push

Published:

Since Jey Uso left The Bloodline in August 2023, he has experienced a notable rise as a solo competitor, drawing attention for his individual success. Meanwhile, Jimmy Uso appears to have stagnated, prompting calls within WWE to elevate him with a Jey Uso-like push to help him prosper independently within the company’s competitive landscape.

Jimmy Uso Needs an Equal Opportunity to Grow as a Solo Star

Bully Ray, speaking on Busted Open Radio, expressed a strong desire for WWE to position Jimmy Uso in a role similar to the one Jey Uso has been given. Bully Ray emphasized that although Roman Reigns remains the top figure in The Bloodline hierarchy and it would be challenging for either Uso brother to match his stature, pushing Jimmy to the same level as Jey would create compelling storytelling opportunities involving power struggles among the three original members.

“Here’s what I’d like to see happen. We know of the opportunity that Roman has been given over the past within The Bloodline to become the mega star that he is and he has become. We know the opportunity that Jey Uso has been given and how he has branched out from tag team wrestler to very successful single star and becoming a world champion the YEET movement. What I want to see is Jimmy given the same opportunity. I want to see Jimmy be put in the story now as the star and not a co-star. I want to see if Jimmy can flourish and thrive the same way Jey has because all three of those guys can get to, if we can. Nobody’s getting to Roman. Roman’s level is difficult. Roman is higher than Jey. Jey has gotten very, very high, but Roman still has this aura, this godlike quality to him. If we can get Jimmy near Jey’s level, wow, that is going to be significant in the storytelling down the road between the three of them. All I could see, the three of them all grasping for power.”

Bully Ray further stressed the significance of Jimmy Uso being presented as a leading figure, not just a supporting character, so he can demonstrate whether he can thrive as Jey has. The dynamic created if all three members—Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, and Jimmy Uso—compete for dominance within The Bloodline would be highly impactful and could lead to intense and volatile narrative developments.

Roman Reigns Eyeing Jey Uso as His Successor

Roman Reigns appears to be grooming Jey Uso as the next top member of The Bloodline. Publicly, Reigns has indicated to Jey that the spotlight is his to carry forward, emphasizing that their alliance and legacy matter most. This endorsement was pronounced in front of Jimmy Uso, further highlighting the evolving power dynamics and suggesting that Jimmy may need a stronger push to match or challenge his brother’s impending rise.

If WWE answers this challenge, it could lead to a more balanced representation of the Uso brothers and fuel dramatic intra-family rivalries within The Bloodline faction, a storyline rich with raw emotion and volatility. As Roman Reigns continues to assert his supremacy and position Jey as his successor, granting Jimmy a Jey Uso-like push could position all three men for a compelling power struggle that captivates fans and reshapes WWE’s top-tier narratives.
