Jade Cargill Unveils Bold New WWE Name After SmackDown Appearance

Published:

Jade Cargill made a strong statement during Friday’s SmackDown by declaring herself the number one contender for the WWE Women’s Championship, marking a significant development in her WWE journey. Alongside this announcement, the former AEW star introduced a new ring name that reflects her renewed presence in the title scene.

At SummerSlam, Cargill competed against Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship but fell short of capturing the title. Despite the loss, she has remained a prominent figure in the championship storyline. Recently, Cargill teamed up with Stratton to secure a victory over Nia Jax and Becky Lynch. Following her pinfall win over the Irresistible Force last week, she reaffirmed on SmackDown that she will be challenging the Buff Barbie for the championship title once again.

The Introduction of “Wild Card” as Jade Cargill’s New Moniker

While an official rematch has not been scheduled yet, Jade Cargill has reinvented her identity by adopting the name “Wild Card.” This new nickname is symbolic of her surprise return to the championship contention and underscores her unpredictable nature in the roster’s dynamics. The change signals a fresh phase in Cargill’s WWE career as she pushes to capture her first world title.

Veteran Stevie Richards Recommends Developmental Opportunities

Despite Jade Cargill’s direct entry to WWE’s main roster, wrestling veteran Stevie Richards has suggested the powerhouse might benefit from further development in other promotions. Richards recommends sending Cargill to NXT or even TNA to refine her wrestling abilities and better prepare for long-term success in WWE.

“So my whole thing is, and I have said this before. Put her in NXT, put her in TNA. Test her attitude. See by not going to the main roster right away, how she feels about that. ‘Cause guess what’s gonna happen? I think Jade’s gonna do more work in NXT and maybe even in TNA, in order to hopefully get it, but they have already got the first impression of her. So when she comes back, she’s fighting an uphill battle all over again,” added Richards.

Cargill has been with WWE for nearly two years and has earned accolades such as the Women’s Tag Team Championship twice and this year’s Queen of the Ring. However, she continues to chase her ambition of winning a world singles title, striving to solidify her status among WWE’s elite.

The Potential Impact of Jade Cargill’s New Identity in WWE

Jade Cargill’s declaration as the number one contender and adoption of the “Wild Card” persona could shift the dynamics within the women’s division. Her ongoing rivalry with Tiffany Stratton and involvement in significant matches indicate WWE‘s focus on building her as a major contender. Fans and analysts will be watching closely to see how this new direction affects her trajectory and if she can finally secure the WWE Women’s Championship.
