Before The Judgment Day, Karrion Kross Pitched a Dark Faction Based on Judgment—Here’s What He Planned

Published:

Karrion Kross disclosed a concept he had for a WWE faction centered around Judgment prior to the formation of The Judgment Day. This faction idea combined dark themes and a unique vision tied to moral reckoning, which he shared during his WWE departure in 2025.

The Judgment Day faction originally came together on RAW following WrestleMania 38 in 2022, led by Edge, Damian Priest, and Rhea Ripley. The group’s leadership shifted at that year’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event when Finn Balor took control by working with Priest and Ripley to deliver a con-chair-to move on Edge. This alliance then declared the faction had no singular leader, emphasizing a collective identity.

Since its inception, The Judgment Day expanded its ranks to include several prominent wrestlers such as Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh, Carlito, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, and Roxanne Perez. They have established dominance on RAW by holding various titles—Balor and McDonagh have held the World Tag Team Championship, while Mysterio held the Intercontinental Championship. Rodriguez and Perez, who took over from Morgan, briefly held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship before losing it to Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss.

The Origin of Karrion Kross’s Judgment-Themed Faction Idea

Karrion Kross reflected on an earlier creative idea inspired by Metallica’s album And Justice for All. While speaking on his YouTube channel, he recounted noticing a fan wearing his Faith For The Fallen merchandise, which featured Scarlett Bourdeaux blindfolded, symbolizing justice. This imagery was part of Kross’s pitch for a faction centered on the concept of judgment, targeting those who have committed wrongdoings in their lives.

“I came up with sort of a design that was based off of And Justice for All. So we had Scarlett (Bourdeaux) on the shirt, blindfolded. The whole concept was Judgment, there’s the judgment quote on the back. So before Judgment Day was a thing, I was a pitching a group and a faction based on targeting people who have done bad things throughout their life and the predication was basically on Judgment,” Kross stated. —Karrion Kross

In line with this theme, Kross said his faction would deliver justice through confrontation, concluding their actions by quoting the phrase printed on the back of his shirt:

“Nothing We Do is Unjust. All Are Guilty And The Hand of Time Decides The Judgment.”

Karrion Kross’s Role Aspirations and Post-WWE Career

Beyond his faction idea, Karrion Kross expressed a willingness to contribute backstage as a producer due to his reputation for providing guidance on promos and creative pitches. Nevertheless, he clarified that his primary focus remained on continuing his in-ring career.

“Look who made Karrion Kross documentary 👀Thank you @realKILLERkross 🙏Number 1 reason why I even have this platform is to be a VOICE in the industry & that the wrestlers and the community can respect & be proud of! Just the beginning #wwe#KarrionKrosspic.twitter.com/k070B7Xu9I” —James Porcelly

Since leaving WWE, Kross and Scarlett Bourdeaux have been actively booked in various wrestling appearances, signaling the start of a new chapter outside of the Stamford-based company. His envisioned faction based on Judgment remains an intriguing “what could have been” in WWE’s ongoing faction history.
