LA Knight Pushes WWE to Recruit LeBron James for Shocking Debut

Published:

Former WWE United States Champion LA Knight has openly expressed his desire for a high-profile recruit to join WWE, specifically mentioning NBA legend LeBron James during the September 8 episode of RAW. The 42-year-old star, involved in a heated rivalry with The Vision faction, told Byron Saxton in a backstage interview that WWE President Adam Pearce could bring LeBron James, his son Bronny, or even actor Charles Bronson into the wrestling ring.

The former Max Dupri’s remarks were highlighted in a clip shared by the official WWE on Netflix Instagram account, which Knight later reposted on his own Instagram story. He emphasized that with the NBA offseason underway and the 2025-26 season approaching, LeBron James, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, could make a surprise appearance in WWE programming.

LA Knight Faces Challenges Against Rival Faction

Following the interview, LA Knight wrestled Bronson Reed in the main event of the night. Despite a strong showing, Knight was ultimately defeated after Bron Breakker interfered by distracting him from the ring apron, allowing Reed to secure victory with a Jagged Edge move. This loss adds tension to Knight’s ongoing rivalry with the members of The Vision.

Unexpected Betrayal After the Match

After the match, Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker attacked LA Knight, prompting The Usos to enter the ring and attempt to fend off the assaults. However, the heels proved too strong for them. Knight then returned with a steel chair and chased away Breakker and Reed. In a surprising turn of events, rather than siding with Knight, Jey Uso struck him with a Spear, shocking both Knight and his own brother Jimmy Uso.

This sudden attack raises questions about the motivations behind The Usos’ betrayal and sets up a tense storyline for Knight’s next move against Jey Uso, also known as The YEET Master.
