WWE Superstar Randy Orton indicated he plans to continue wrestling for at least another ten years, depending on his physical condition. Speaking recently on The Pat McAfee Show, Orton shared his thoughts about his future in professional wrestling and acknowledged the challenges his body might face as time goes on.
Orton’s Plans for His Wrestling Career
At nearly 46 years old, Randy Orton recognizes that retirement will eventually come, but his goal is to compete for another decade if possible. He highlighted how his experience and style in the ring might allow him to sustain his performance level for those additional years. However, he admitted that some factors, such as injuries or opportunities, may be out of his control.
I’m 46 in a couple of months, and, you know, I can’t do this forever,
Orton said.
I’ve been doing it for 26 years. If I could do it another decade, I will. The work rate, the way that I wrestle, you know, maybe I could pull that out.
He also expressed uncertainty about how many more major events like Elimination Chamber matches or appearances at WrestleMania he might still have ahead of him.
Current WWE Position and Future Uncertainties
Orton’s next significant challenge is the Men’s Elimination Chamber match scheduled for February 28. The winner of this match will earn a title shot against Drew McIntyre for the Undisputed WWE Championship. If Orton does not win, his roadmap to WrestleMania 42 becomes unclear, and he will need to find other ways to secure a spot on the card.
As one of WWE’s most decorated performers, Orton’s accomplishments include 14 world championships, multiple midcard and tag team titles, as well as two Royal Rumble victories. His longevity and success have established him as a key figure in the industry.
The Importance of Orton’s Continued Presence
While Randy Orton remains uncertain about the exact timing of his retirement, his intent to wrestle for potentially another decade shows his commitment to the sport. Fans should value his ongoing contributions and skill while he remains active in WWE, understanding that his time in the ring is ultimately finite but still significant.
