Anna Katogiritis Inspiring Mission: Anna Katogiritis grew up in Karpathos, Greece. Kids at school were mean to her for being small. Anna made peace with the island’s cats. Greece may have the most abandoned cats and dogs.
Anna’s bond with the cats inspired her to pursue a career as a veterinarian, also known as an animal doctor. She wanted to help animals like her cats but needed to learn more about vets.
Anna studied in the US, worked with Jane Goodall, and then returned to Karpathos. As promised, she founded Animal Welfare Karpathos in 2020 to aid stray cats.
Her team travels to various locations to care for cats and educate people about aiding lost animals. They are paid by tourists and local hotels for their work. Anna believes teaching kids about animals can alter perceptions of homeless individuals.
Be kind to animals. Karpathos also helps cats. Before adopting them, they ensure they find suitable homes and ensure their well-being. They teach the importance of spaying and neutering cats to prevent more strays.
Anna hopes that one day, everyone will care about animals and her group won’t be needed. She appreciates the team that aids animals and is grateful for their assistance.
