Tiffany Stratton Admits She’s Been “Stale” Before WWE Comeback

Tiffany Stratton is openly acknowledging the lukewarm reception from fans regarding her recent period in WWE, admitting she felt “stale” before making her comeback. During an interview on the No-Contest Wrestling podcast with O’Shea Jackson Jr. and TJ Jefferson, Stratton discussed her career progress and shared insights into her mindset and preparations during her time away from the ring.

How Stratton Prepared During Her Injury Break

Stratton took nearly three months off due to a knee injury after a long title reign. She spent this period dedicated to nonstop workouts, aiming to return in improved shape. She said,

“trying to come back in better shape than I left.”

Besides physical training, she also focused on upgrading her wrestling moves by exploring content on Instagram and TikTok, mentioning,

“there’s a couple of wrestling accounts that I follow, that I try and screen-record for ideas later on.”

Challenges During Her Championship Reign

Stratton quickly rose through WWE’s women’s division, capturing the Women’s Championship and holding it for 302 days. Her reign ended on November 1st at Saturday Night’s Main Event when she lost to Jade Cargill. Before her injury-induced hiatus, some fans began to express disappointment online about her character’s direction and excitement level during her title run.

Plans to Revitalize Her WWE Character

Stratton acknowledged this sentiment and expressed a desire to refresh her persona now that she’s back competing. She admitted,

“I feel like for the longest—the past year—I was kind of stale,”

and added,

“I felt like there wasn’t any crazy storylines after I won the title.”

Looking ahead, she intends to inject fresh energy into her character, stating,

“I kind of want to bring back some spunk. So, we’re going to be even more heel-ish. We’re going to play around with some things. So, I’m excited for that.”

Future Prospects and Activities Outside WWE

Although she recently competed in the Elimination Chamber and did not immediately return to the title picture, Stratton is motivated to build a stronger presence in WWE going forward. Outside wrestling, she is preparing for an upcoming bodybuilding competition, balancing her training between both passions.
