Last month, Trick Williams made his first appearance in the Men’s Royal Rumble, joining 29 other competitors in the WWE event. Speaking with Baby Huey on 107.7 The Bone, Williams expressed his enthusiasm about reaching this significant milestone in his wrestling career, highlighting the importance of the occasion and his experience in the process.
Memories from Saudi Arabia and Unique Fan Interactions
Williams described his trip to Saudi Arabia positively, praising the hospitality and the atmosphere there. He recalled the excellent food and the warm treatment the wrestlers received from the local fans, despite language barriers.
“It was an awesome experience, man. Unreal,”
Williams said. He added,
“Saudi Arabia was great, the food was great, the people treated us like royalty. I appreciated that. Meeting the people there, a lot of people don’t speak English, you know? But everybody knew three words. ‘Whoop that Trick.’”

Progression from NXT to Main Roster Success
Since joining WWE’s SmackDown brand earlier this year, Williams has been establishing himself as a notable main roster star. Though still looking for an undefeated streak, he has already secured victories over Rey Fenix and Matt Cardona, and won a recent Triple Threat match to qualify for WWE Elimination Chamber 2026. His transition to the main roster followed an extended period in WWE NXT, where many expected him to be promoted earlier.
The Value of Experience Before Main Roster Promotion
Williams acknowledged that the delay in joining the main roster ultimately benefited his career development. He credited his time in WWE NXT and a crossover with TNA for building his confidence and performance skills.
“Everything happens when it’s supposed to,”
Williams noted.
“I became your TNA – excuse me, baby, your ‘Trick-NA’ World Champion in that extra year there. And that was very necessary, put me in a whole different caliber. The confidence, charisma’s through the roof, and that just comes from reps and being in high-pressure situations.”

Upcoming Elimination Chamber Match and Future Prospects
Tonight, Williams will compete in the Elimination Chamber alongside top wrestlers such as Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, LA Knight, Jey Uso, and Je’Von Evans. The winner will earn a title shot at WWE WrestleMania 42, with Drew McIntyre anticipated to defend the WWE Championship. This opportunity represents a critical moment in Williams’s ascending career, potentially positioning him for major success on wrestling’s biggest stage.
