Will Ospreay Challenges Fans to Break Loudest Indoor Arena Record at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door

Published:

AEW star Will Ospreay has issued a challenge to fans attending the Forbidden Door pay-per-view in his native England to help break the Guinness World Record for the loudest indoor arena crowd. Scheduled for August 24 at London’s O2 Arena, Ospreay wants the audience to surpass the existing record of 130.4 decibels, set during a Kansas Jayhawks basketball game in 2017.

High-Stakes Main Event Features Wrestling’s Biggest Names

In the event’s headline match, Ospreay, nicknamed the Aerial Assassin, will team with Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, Darby Allin, and Hiroshi Tanahashi. They will face off in a 10-Man Lights Out Steel Cage Match against Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, The Young Bucks, and NJPW’s Gabe Kidd. Alongside this, Hangman Adam Page is slated to defend the AEW World Championship against MJF in another main event.

Record-Breaking Potential Fueled by a Packed Venue

With over 16,000 tickets already sold, the crowd size at the O2 Arena matches the venue where the current decibel record was established. Ospreay believes this sizable hometown crowd can realistically make history by creating the loudest indoor arena noise ever recorded. This Will Ospreay World Record Challenge adds a unique element to the already highly anticipated wrestling event.
