WWE SmackDown’s Michin Says She’s “Crazy Enough” to Challenge Giulia for Women’s US Championship

Published:

WWE Women’s United States Champion Giulia, who recently secured the title from Zelina Vega, could soon face a new challenger as SmackDown’s Michin expressed her interest in vying for the championship. After capturing the title, Giulia has made limited appearances on WWE television, but discussions around her first title defense appear to be underway.

The USA Network’s X platform engaged fans about who should challenge Giulia next, prompting a bold reply from Michin, who declared her readiness to step up for a shot at the prestigious WWE SmackDown Women’s US Championship.

“Bold? Yeaaa, I’m crazy enough for this,” Michin responded.

Michin’s Background and Previous Title Pursuits

Although Michin has been involved in multiple significant matches throughout her WWE career, she has yet to claim championship gold within the company. She has previously challenged for the NXT Women’s North American Championship and the WWE Women’s Championship but was unsuccessful.

Michin also participated in the tournament to crown the inaugural Women’s United States Champion, reaching the final stage before losing to Chelsea Green during Saturday Night’s Main Event last December. In early 2025, she went on to challenge Giulia, also known as The Hot Mess, several times on SmackDown but did not capture the title.

Her recent public declaration signals a strong eagerness to finally secure a championship, though WWE’s plans for Giulia’s initial title defense have yet to be confirmed.

Giulia’s Remarkable Rise in WWE

For Michin, dethroning Giulia will be a considerable challenge given the champion’s impressive trajectory in WWE. Giulia began her WWE career on the developmental NXT brand and quickly made her mark by winning the NXT Women’s Championship in January 2025, defeating Roxanne Perez at the New Year’s Evil event.

Giulia later lost that title in a Winner Takes All Match to Stephanie Vaquer at Roadblock, but she was soon promoted to WWE’s main roster, where she immediately drew attention. After a tag team match on RAW in May 2025, she was officially added to the SmackDown roster.

In her SmackDown debut, Giulia won a Triple Threat Match against Charlotte Flair and Zelina Vega, earning a spot in the highly competitive Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Shortly after, on the June 27 episode of SmackDown, she defeated Zelina Vega to capture the Women’s US Championship.

What Lies Ahead for the Championship Scene

Giulia’s reign as the Women’s US Champion has already displayed significant promise, combining strong in-ring performances with rapid momentum since joining WWE’s main roster. Michin’s challenge, if officially booked, could add an exciting chapter to the title’s history, showcasing two high-caliber superstars battling for supremacy.

Fans interested in the WWE SmackDown Women’s US Championship should anticipate upcoming developments, as the champion’s first defense may define the division’s direction for the coming months.
