Brock Lesnar and The Vision: No Tension, Just Teamwork

Published:

WWE is gearing up for John Cena’s first and final WarGames match, scheduled for November 29 at the 39th Survivor Series event at Petco Park in San Diego, CA. Behind the scenes, Brock Lesnar and The Vision are reportedly collaborating smoothly, fueling anticipation for the upcoming WarGames showdown.

During Wrestlepalooza at Gainebridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Brock Lesnar opened the event with a dominant victory over Big Match John in what was promoted as their last one-on-one match. While Lesnar and his longtime advocate Paul Heyman reunited on the pre-show, Heyman downplayed the reunion despite their backstage encounter on SmackDown the previous night. This rekindling of ties quietly stirred speculation about Lesnar’s role and his connections with The Vision, a faction led by Paul Heyman that includes Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Seth Rollins, and possibly Becky Lynch.

Throughout Wrestlepalooza, The Vision’s presence was felt heavily. Paul Heyman guided Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed to victory over The Usos and supported his group during various segments, including the post-show hosted by Joe Tessitore, Big E, and Peter Rosenberg. When Breakker got into a heated moment with a fan, Heyman intervened, while the heel faction playfully antagonized hosts Sam Roberts and Megan Morant. Despite these interactions, Heyman kept details about the Lesnar connection vague, though his praise for The Beast Incarnate was clear both on the show and through social media.

Clear Collaboration Among Brock Lesnar and The Vision

Contrary to rumors of friction, insider Sam Roberts, speaking on his Notsam Wrestling show, clarified that there is no tension between Brock Lesnar and members of The Vision. Instead, Roberts described an atmosphere of cooperation among Lesnar, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed, suggesting a united front rather than conflict.

“There’s no tension with Brock Lesnar. There’s no tension between Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Brock Lesnar. It’s almost like there’s a cooperation with Brock Lesnar,” Sam Roberts said.

This update challenges prior speculation that Lesnar might be at odds with Paul Heyman’s faction. Instead, it implies that the alliances backstage are stronger, possibly hinting at a strategic partnership for the Road to Survivor Series and beyond.

Mapping Out John Cena’s Final WarGames Opponent

On the same show, Roberts shared his vision for the May 29 Survivor Series WarGames match, highlighting John Cena’s final WWE appearance and his sole WarGames bout. Roberts proposed an intense feud between Team Brock Lesnar and Team John Cena, though he stressed that Lesnar’s inclusion doesn’t necessarily mean he officially joins The Vision.

“So, if you’re going to do Team Brock Lesnar… and I’m just saying ‘Team Brock Lesnar and John Cena,’ you can call them whatever you want, but what if, now that Brock Lesnar has this connection with Paul Heyman… well, guess what? There’s at least… and it doesn’t mean he joins The Vision, he doesn’t have to join The Vision, but he could still be a part of this team, where it’s like Brock Lesnar and The Vision… Brock Lesnar works with Paul Heyman, Paul Heyman works with The Vision, Paul, Brock, and The Vision have a commonality here,” Sam Roberts said.

Roberts imagined a heel lineup featuring Lesnar, Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Drew McIntyre, the latter preferred over LA Knight for the team’s WarGames roster. Drawing from his deep wrestling knowledge, Roberts suggested Cena’s group comprise his storied rivals and allies—John Cena, CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, and Randy Orton—forming a formidable babyface faction. While Cody Rhodes was considered for Cena’s side, Roberts recommended reserving Rhodes for Undisputed WWE Championship defenses outside of WarGames.

Setting the Stage for a Dramatic Finale

The build-up to Cena’s final match, scheduled for December 13 at Saturday Night’s Main Event XLII at Capital One Arena in Washington, DC, could culminate in a surprising storyline following WarGames. Roberts envisioned a scenario where Team Cena’s victory involves an accidental betrayal of Drew McIntyre, leading to an unprecedented singles encounter between Cena and McIntyre as the true farewell bout for the wrestling icon.

This planned trajectory underscores the significance of Brock Lesnar and The Vision’s alliance, as it shapes the narrative for the biggest fates in WWE’s upcoming marquee events. With Team Lesnar and Team Cena clashing at Survivor Series and Cena’s final match looming, WWE fans can expect a tense and electrifying conclusion to an era marked by legends and rising stars.
